ReCycle: getting to grips with bike maintenance

We’ve kicked off this year’s biking activities with a project we’re running jointly with Glasgow Caledonian University called ReCycle.

The ReCycle project will give you the chance to come along and learn some basic bike maintenance skills; repairing punctures, adjusting brakes, fixing chains and so on under the expert guidance of the folks from the Bike Station.
However, it doesn’t stop there; once you’ve learned some of the basics, you’ll have the chance to work on one of the bikes that we’ve been collecting up, and once it’s up and running, it will be yours to keep for  getting about, heading to college, job interviews, or just out with your mates for a pedal along the canal on a sunny afternoon.

If you’d like to get involved in the project, then drop into to SiMY and talk to Neil or Catriona.
